Welcome to Himalayan Adventures!
We have 16 years of experience facilitating tours to Tibet, Nepal and Bhutan – the ‘roof of the world’ – under the guidance of tour facilitator Jill Persson. With so many years of experience we have developed a trust with the authorities that allows our boutique tours to visit many restricted areas usually off-limits to tourists, as well as the usual trails.
Our mission is to share the Himalayan regions with as many people as possible. Our tours include easy hotel-type tours, as well as trekking, mountain-biking, pilgrimages and bird-watching, amongst other pursuits. Indeed our tours are as diverse as our clients themselves.

Tibet
For so long Tibet was an isolated, forbidden, mystical land, shrouded by the unknown and protected from strangers by its terrain and people.
Nepal
Nepal is a land of great diversity and interest. The worlds highest mountains, great barren highlands, forests, jungles, plains and grasslands.
Bhutan
Hidden in the heart of the high Himalayas between India and Tibet, Bhutan is an exotic land of snow-clad peaks, lush valleys, dense forests and clear running springs.

Himalyan Adventures announces updated 2009 tour details
As always this year we have a variety of tours that have been tailor-made to gain the most out of your visit to these very unusual destinations.
Our first tour this year, by special request, is to Bhutan which is a truly magical kingdom that deserves its tag of “The Last Shangri-La”. My second trip is a private tour for Kate Turkington and friends to Nepal and Tibet. For our third trip Mary-Jane will be taking an adventure group to Nepal to river raft, do a safari, and explore the country of Nepal and experience this special land. Our fourth tour is our ever-popular special combo, where we bring together the great contrasts between Nepal and Tibet.
